Parametric Structure

The challenge of this exercise was to design a parametric structure that could be placed both in a crowded urban context and a natural landscape. The structure would have been made out of interwoven bent sheets of laminated timber, and all the elements were generated with the help of a parametric algorithm. To better grasp the structure, a 1:1 prototype for one structural element was constructed out of birch plywood and tested.
