Limewash Paint Accent Wall

Lime paint, often known as limewash or whitewash, is derived from crushed limestone, making it a completely natural product, unlike typical paints that contain acrylic and synthetic tints or dyes. This particular lime paint formulation includes crushed limestone mixed with earth pigment powders. I aimed to use these natural materials to craft a distinctive pattern on an accent wall in the living room, drawing inspiration from the texture of traditional Swedish plastered exteriors. Usually, the subtle hues of limewash paint need focused spot lights to bring out their texture. To reduce the energy consumption required for such lighting, I blended two colors, adding even more character to the wall. The outcome is a unique texture that shifts in appearance with the varying levels of indirect sunlight coming through the nearby window.
