Future Window
2023
In the immersive exhibition called Future Window, the urban landscape serves as a backdrop for delving into various preferable future narratives through storytelling and Augmented Reality (AR).
Building on this vision, the project branched into two distinct components: the mycelium windows, which I crafted and showcased at various events, and another set of windows displayed in the public space in the Södermalm area of Stockholm.
What I didI was a core team member of this project from start to finish. My main responsibility was to design the web application that enabled the AR experience, conduct user tests, and enhance the app based on the feedback received. Additionally, I constructed the physical windows from scratch and grew the mycelium panels over a period of six weeks. I also handled the entire process of outsourcing materials and managing the budget for this part of the project.

SALLY, EY Doberman's future manifestation lab, uses backcasting and speculative design to turn the preferable futures into actionable steps for the present.
This method involves starting with the envisioned preferable futures and working backwards to identify the steps necessary to turn our ideas into reality. We ask ourselves: What conditions were necessary for change? How did our behaviors, technology, laws, social norms, and business models evolve to achieve these preferable futures?
Our collective future is not set in stone; it hinges on the decisions we make today, both those we act upon and those we neglect.
